Description:

POSITION

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing fast-paced space projects and overseeing the development of complex space systems, to lead the lunar rover development project in our Technology, Applications and Research Division of the Systems Division (comprises of 14 persons).

  • Location: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area)
  • Start Date: Quarter 1 2025

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master (or PhD) degree with a major in a relevant engineering topic: space, electronics, electrical, software, mechanical, robotics
  • At least 4 years of professional experience with project management responsibilities in space system or equipment development projects
  • Good knowledge of space system engineering standards (ESA ECSS, other agency standards)
  • Good understanding of space qualification process
  • Good understanding of PA implications
  • Strength to cope with tight schedules and deadlines
  • Proficiency in communication at team level and when engaging with customers and suppliers
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

The Company develops payloads, avionics, robotics technology and products, and provides complete mission operations control centre solutions to EN9100 standards.
We also provide engineering, science and training services, including astronaut training.
From our headquarters, we are in daily contact with the International Space Station (ISS) ensuring our Customers’ research is successful.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor day-to-day technical and programmatic management, serving as the primary point of contact for Customers and ensuring timely follow-up on actions
  • Collaborate closely with the System Engineers and other project Team Members, as needed
  • Work in close interaction with:
  • our Administration Department on financial and contractual matters
  • our Product Assurance (PA) Department
  • Ensure the timely release of project deliverables in accordance with project timelines
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary technical documentation.
