The Opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Manager in our Brisbane based Manufacturing Services team. Cochlear is looking for a Project Manager – Manufacturing Network Optimisation to manage our capacity expansion and equipment upgrade project. This role will be critical in ensuring that the site capacity objectives are met in line with company goals.
Reporting to the Director Manufacturing Support Brisbane, this is a 24-month full-time role based in Cochlear Brisbane. This position is suitable for a Manufacturing focused Engineer who holds Project Management experience to further utilize their skills in a growing and dynamic part of the business.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Manage our capacity expansion and equipment upgrade project, responsible for delivery, performance, and completion of project.
  • Works across regions/business units and influences multiple stakeholders to deliver product on time, on budget and to specified quality as per the project plan.
  • Works to resolve difficult and moderately complex problems producing solutions which improve the established procedure/process.
  • Required to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to ensure project success, despite obstacles.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets/project objectives.
  • Indirect team leadership responsibilities for project delivery.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Broad knowledge of Manufacturing systems, capacity modelling and analysis
  • Project management experience coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Broad knowledge across people, financial and/or operational management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the outcome of set deliverables and comfortable working with ambiguity.
