JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a Murex upgrade project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the project from conception to implementation, ensuring it is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The role requires a combination of strong technical understanding of Murex and its applications, outstanding project management skills, and a proven track record in managing similar upgrade projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of the Murex upgrade project.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Specific experience in managing Murex-related upgrade projects is mandatory.
- Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of and experience with the Murex platform and knowledge of financial markets.
- Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
- Exceptional communication skills and adeptness at working with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
