D. TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE

• Experience in manufacturing process and gating process
• A bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, business management, SC or a related field.
• Any relevant project management related experience.
• Certified PMP not required but is a plus

KEY EXPERTISE / SKILLS/ TRACK RECORD:

• 5-10 years’ seniority within the group, preferably in positions linked to R&D, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, IT
• Good level of leadership and influential skills. Comfortable leading in multidisciplinary, cross-cultural and VUCA environments.
• Collaborative and able to create broad cross-functional networks within EL group (across departments and geographies)
• Proactive, curious and willing to adopt a 360 strategic view of the project management: from technical & operations topics to business, marketing and regulatory aspects.
• Result-driven.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good technical understanding of lens/frame manufacturing and features.
• Familiar with basic project management tools and methodologies: Gantt Charts, Work Breakdown Structures, Risk Analysis, Costing.

A. JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

To manage strategic innovation projects (Class 1 or Class 2) for the Group. In this role, the missions would consist in:

• Managing the entire scope of the NP project, usually from Feasibility Stage onward, within the frame of EL Consumer Stage Gate Process.
• Functionally establishing and managing an international and multi-departments team to plan and execute project course.
• Managing the strategic project from an economic, technical, go-to-market and quality point of view and engaging with the team on timelines for commercial launches commitments.
• Reporting to the CSC governance body.

B. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

• Responsible for the complete scope of C1 / C2 Projects, within the frame of EssilorLuxottica Stage Gate Process, from project preparation and feasibility (both technical and financial) to product and process development, quality validation, pilot, production and supply flow, go-to-market, and finally product launch.
• Build and lead an international project team including a wide and complex array of disciplines: Marketing, Finance, R&D, IP, Engineering, Quality, Production, Sales, IT, Supply Chain, Accounting, Purchasing, Customer Service, Labs, Local Business, etc.
• Work closely with all of the various disciplines mentioned above in order identify potential problems and prepare contingency plans. This involves mastering risk management methodology, and active and professional communication with persons at all levels of the organization, from factory floor production personnel to COO-CEO.
• Present accurate, timely, effective and concise updates to Management on a regular basis. This includes written updates and presentations at the CSC meetings as well as regional committee meetings (APAC & Greater China).
• Could potentially manage a portfolio of projects ("Projects coordination").
• Accountable to manage and control projects under his coordination to meet project deliverables / commitments.
