Novarc Technologies is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team and support the production of our cobots.
Summary: As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful execution of various Novarc’s projects to ensure outcomes are in line with the company project goals, processes, contracts, and of course, requirements. In addition to this, you will assist with the planning and execution of internal process development and improvement initiatives and projects.
The ideal candidate will join the Novarc team with a strong foundation in mechanical and/or electrical engineering and a go-getter attitude. The Project Manager will report into the Senior Project Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Engineering plus 5 years experience managing projects in a related sector, or equivalent education and experience is required.
  • Project Management Training/Certification (PMP)/ Prince 2 is required.
  • Proven experience with external clients is required.
  • Experience in a start-up manufacturing or small scale production environment is required.
  • Understanding of the design process through to manufacturing and installation is required.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills is required.
  • Knowledge of project accounting, cash flow forecasting and invoice management.
  • Comprehensive understanding and be able to execute earned value -“EV” and measure the progress.
  • Very communicative, outgoing, yet respectfully firm with Novarc’s company positions and boundaries of the contracts.
  • Agile certifications (PMI-ACP or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Problem-solving attitude.
  • Experience with “Wrike” Project Management software is a plus, although other PM software experience (Zoho, Microsoft Project) experience is translatable.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects (external/internal) of varying complexities using appropriate company standard project management tools (Wrike) and internal processes/ procedures, and provide a clear direction to the project team members.
  • Perform project tasks including, but not limited to, management of stakeholders, communications, scope, schedule, cost, risks, quality and resources.
  • Understand the client’s outcome requirements and manage their expectations and any variations to the original scope.
  • Manage scope creep and execute Variation Orders (VORs) as and when required.
  • Manage the interface between Sales, Product, Finance, Innovation, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
  • Prepare NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and produce Corrective Actions.
  • Analyzes project profitability to ensure it is in line with the set gross margin.
  • Manages the payment schedule to ensure collections are in line with the contract.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Provide to-the-point and concise written communication to the appropriate stakeholders, including both external/internal customers.
  • Use data to determine trends and practice Plan-Do-Check-Act thinking and culture for continuous improvement of the company’s processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate the lessons learned during the process, documents and feed back into the respective teams.
  • Learn the welding-related knowledge necessary for managing Novarc’s projects.
  • Lead and assist in the development and implementation of internal business process initiatives, improvements and other projects as required.
  • Any other related tasks as required.
