Description:

NSB Omega is looking for a Project Manager for our MAJOR Utilities Client in St. John’s, NL

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

The duties and job functions of the Project Manager shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Interface with corporate departments (engineering, environment, safety, finance, information management, regulatory compliance, internal audit, operations, etc.) to ensure requirements are understood and met.
  • Preparation and review of Interface and Risk Management Plans and Procedures.
  • Utilize existing and/or Identify and finalize all related tools required for implementation of Interface and Risk Management (including production, management and maintaining associated registers, forms and procedures).
  • Work with the project leadership and commercial team to ensure that key interface, risk and lesson learned requirements are included in Contract related documents.
  • Coordination and facilitation of Interface, Risk and Lesson Learned Workshops including documenting, reporting and tracking action items to resolution and close out.
  • Following package award(s), work with the identified prime contractor(s) and subcontractors to implement Interface and Risk management plans and procedures to ensure obligations of both Company and Contractor are adhered to.
  • Facilitate and /or coordinate with project team, suppliers/ contractors and engineering to hold dedicated Interface and Risk Management (minuted and actioned) meetings on a regular basis.
  • Facilitate and /or coordinate with project team, suppliers/ contractors and engineering to hold dedicated lesson learned session(s) at various phases of the project to ensure feedback and actions noted and taken from a Continuous Improvement perspective.
  • Provide regular monthly reporting on status of Risk, Interface and lesson Learned agreed to actions.
  • Provide coordination and leadership as directed by the Project Manager(s) in the completion of activities related to engineering design, project management and technical support.
  • Proactive support of a safety culture where “Nobody Gets Hurt.”

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates are expected to be in an Intermediate Project Manager role.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in developing and leading diverse work teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with large national and international construction contractors is considered an asset.
  • Strong background in the application of Project Management Systems.
  • Adaptability to perform in different work environments.
  • Strong planning, budgeting and organizational skills.
  • A team focused approach and collaborative nature are required.
