Description:

As a Project Manager for Personal Services, Data and Analytics Transformation, you support project owners and coordinate work teams for cross-sector projects and initiatives to achieve the target objectives. You’re involved in the every stage of the project, from design to rollout. You organize, manage and control the human, material, financial and IT resources needed to deliver very large-scale, innovative projects involving multiple sectors. You draw on your ability to drive results and engage others to effectively manage teams and help the organization meet its objectives. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your field of expertise. You’re responsible for strategic projects that have a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, in-depth understanding of your line of business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. You lead, influence and serve as an expert for teams, senior management and decision-making bodies. You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external providers. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Work with contribution managers to lead deliverables, ensuring business objectives are met, benefits are delivered and budgets and timelines are respected
  • Ensure availability of the material, human and financial resources required to meet the agreed-upon business objectives
  • Manage, monitor and communicate the roadmap and budget. Define and promote governance
  • Identify and address project issues and risks
  • Lead project-specific reporting and progress updates for project owners and other decision-making bodies. Help manage internal and external suppliers.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Professional certification in project management
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Advanced proficiency in Jira and Confluence
  • Advanced proficiency in project management methodologies (agile, hybrid and waterfall)
  • Knowledge of client relations centres and/or marketing and/or data analytics
  • Experience working for a large organization with a complex structure and a highly political environment
  • Expertise in delivering multiple large-scale projects
