ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline (preferable but not essential)
- Strong focus on well control
- Broad understanding of Well Construction activities including Drilling, Completions, Well Testing, and Well Services activities
- Experience of rig site supervision of drilling and completions operations
- Working knowledge of rig site operating procedures and risk management

Responsibilities:
- Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken.
- Accountable for compliance with PETROFAC well management system standards, processes and procedures and relevant Client and legislative requirements.
- Lead Petrofac wells teams to deliver client project objectives
- Lead engagement with Client Production and Subsurface teams and service companies to ensure that objectives for well construction, well intervention and/or well repair are set and fully detailed in the procedures for each well.
- Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken.
- Accountable for safely achieving project objectives.
- Liaison with all members of the project team to ensure that objectives for the project / well operations programs are defined and fully understood.
- Input, review and assure all project deliverables well in accordance with the Petrofac Project Delivery Process.
- Review and operational input of all programs and programmer amendments for the well operations execution.
- Petrofac client focal point throughout the project delivery process. Responsible for ensuring the Petrofac client is consulted and/or informed throughout the work scope including via regular (weekly) formal reporting and progress meetings as per Petrofac best practice.
- Coordinating all external (supplier and client subsurface etc) and internal (Petrofac wells technical and functional support) stakeholders with respect to achieving project objectives.
- Management of project and team in accordance with the Project Delivery Process and the Turus™ application project plan and project controls to ensure that work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner with due regard to health and safety of personnel and protection of the environment, in adherence with Company and Petrofac client-specific requirements.
- Ensure liaison with Well Examiner as appropriate, and compliance with Well Examination requirements.
- Leads the Senior Offshore Supervision team in the implementation of and adherence to Petrofac and clients’ project specific HSEQ and legislative requirements such as conditions contained within approvals provided to all Permitting Licenses Application Notifications and Consents (PLANC) as applicable according to the project regulatory compliance register (PLANC) and adherence to Emergency Response protocols as determined in the project Management System Interface Document (MSID).
- Development and implementation of rig / project specific HSEQ plans in line with Petrofac and client requirements
- Ownership of the Petrofac Well Project Delivery Process
- AFE/Budget compilation, cost control and management with support from the Project Wells Accountant.
- Day to day management of site operations. Coordination of logistics support for site operations
- Supervision of engineering team to provide operational input to planning process.
- Teams lead in emergency response situation in line with agreed project documentation such as project specific management system Bridging Document and Emergency Response Planning as contained in a Management System Interface Document (MSID) and project specific Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (OPEP) or similar.
- Safety and environmental inspection visits to well sites.
- Co-ordination of morning and other operational meetings and calls with Field team.
- Liaison with drilling and service contractors to ensure quality of service, and to drive integration and communication between the various service providers.
- Agree and expedite corrective actions resulting from any incident and accident report.
- Review and approval of required project call-offs, invoices.
- Ensure high quality site reporting from Petrofac and 3rd party team as required.
- Support of audit and assurance activities as required throughout the project delivery process.
- Business performance improvement by for example the gathering of and approval of all operational lessons and the close out of the respective actions within Turus™
- Ensure regular and accurate reporting of all critical data to Petrofac and client as required by the project, for example:
- Weekly planning phase technical and commercial progress reporting
- Weekly operational and cost reporting
- Weekly HSEQ statistics and performance reporting
- Cost control
