Description:
Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. (Bilton) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Manager to join our team, reporting to the Manager of Project Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing custom manufacturing projects. This role requires strong project management skills, and attention to detail while ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- PMP certification is an asset.
- 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and welding, preferably within the oil and gas or heavy industrial industry.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project), with a strong understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), instrumentation, and controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing client relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain thorough documentation.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices in manufacturing, fabrication, and oil and gas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple projects ensuring completion is within scope, budget, and timelines. Manage change orders accordingly and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with purchasing, design, engineering, and production teams to coordinate project activities and ensure smooth information flow.
- Serve as the primary client contact, negotiating contracts, addressing needs, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation, including schedules, procurement status, and progress reports, while adhering to company standards, safety protocols, and client specifications.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing project management environment.
- Utilize project management software and industry best practices, leveraging a solid understanding of P&ID, instrumentation, and process systems.
- Uphold strong documentation practices and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring trust, credibility, and accountability throughout each project.
