MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of core Project Management experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience working with external customers.
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise software implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Scrum Master role.
  • Experience working on Agile teams / applying Iterative & Increment Development process.
  • Experience directly managing customer interactions with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Experience in leading and coaching a team through project completion stages.
  • Proven success managing multiple, complex, simultaneous projects, including managing scope, time, cost, and quality of delivery.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Works well as a team member or individually.
  • University or College degree, or equivalent training & experience.

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification, Scrum Master certification or training
  • Change Management Certification (Prosci or equivalent)
  • Business or Professional Writing training
  • Experience working with Pivotal, ClickUp, MS Project, or other project planning software
  • Background in content management, software development, and/or technical writing preferred
  • Financial management skills for time & materials and/or fixed price projects, including billing
  • Contract development and negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience using Power BI for reporting and/or data visualization
  • Knowledge of DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) XML and CCMS (Component Content Management System) tools like AEM Guides, AEM Sites, Heretto, RWS Tridion, Astoria.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) for this remote, full-time permanent position.
The PM we seek must be able to quickly ramp-up to the business and be able to start contributing in meaningful ways to assigned projects within the first week. The PM will report to the Project Management Office and have the support of team members needed to succeed in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successfully manage end-to-end engineering and technical writing tasks, and client software implementation/integration projects; this includes the administration of contractual deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Perform project control activities, including but not limited to, creating, and maintaining project plans, weekly status reports, financial health reports, meeting minutes, and coordinating staffing activities using a shared resource pool.
  • Manage customer expectations, deliver projects within scope and budget, and mitigate issues that may interfere with project success; ensure expectations and goals are understood by all team members.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and team members about project plan development, status, and changes.
  • Manage internal reporting and analysis for financial profitability across multiple and /or complex projects.
  • Manage multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
  • Ensure team members are actively logging project hours in our time tracking software; build and run project reports necessary to support the project and managers/team leads.

WHAT YOU WILL DO ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS

In this role, you will be responsible for

  • Working with the sales team to build statements of work and capture project requirements,
  • Managing projects and all assigned resources from kick-off to sign-off,
  • Building project plans and documenting stories using the company’s tools,
  • Preparing all client communications,
  • Scheduling and facilitating scrum ceremonies such as kick-offs, daily stand-ups, & retrospectives,
  • Working with the project team to develop and deliver solutions, monitor team health and morale, identify challenges & roadblocks to success and determine solutions,
  • Working with the account stakeholder to report on status,
  • Project profitability,
  • Communicating issues and resolution options to management as appropriate, and
  • Documenting plans, processes, trends, observations, reports, meetings, actions, decisions, goals, projections, needs, and more.
