Valor Hospitality is looking for a Project Manager to support the Procurement Director in leading on projects relating to FF&E, CAPEX, OPEX and OS&E.
Based in Manchester with a national remit our ideal candidate will have experience of working within the hospitality sector and procurement.
We have lots of investment planned for 2024 and beyond so this is a key role to support our growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement projects from inception to completion. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage procurement strategies to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Coordinate and oversee the procurement process, from purchase order issuance to goods receipt.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall project goals.
- Manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial control.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a candidate who has at least 5 years working within a hotel environemnt at Senior HOD level and who has completed project work as part of this time. Ideally they would have a strong background in procurement and project management. Key qualifications and experience include:
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
