Property will partner with the Bupa business units to deliver customer and commercial outcomes that are aligned to Bupa’s Enterprise strategy. A focus of the Property Team is to promote consistency in practices and methodologies, development of key capabilities, simplifying governance, enhanced controls driving better commercial outcomes.
The Property Project Manager will be accountable for the successful delivery of projects through management of the design and construction phases to meet cost, time and quality objectives. The types of projects could include refurbishment, renovation, upgrades of existing facilities or services within facilities. The role will operate across Bupa Australia, influencing at senior levels through to the front line.
Based from our Sydney offices, this position is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, full-time hours. It is anticipated interstate travel to our Care Homes in accordance with project cadence up to fortnightly travel will be required with this role. Key responsibilities include:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Take the lead in delivery of all major capital expenditure projects of varying complexities for our Care Homes.
- Management of all aspects of the project from selection of the project design team through planning and consent approvals to the successful completion of the construction works. Construction delivery may include contractual engagement, contractor management, client representative duties, chair progress & planning groups, commissioning processes, ensuring certification and defect liability management.
- Maintain detailed procedures to provide a high standard of documentation and consistency across all projects.
- Providing a defect free handover including implementing a testing, commissioning and training regime.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL LIKELY HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Demonstrated project management experience in leading commercial capital expenditure projects within an Aged Care setting.
- Significant business, commercial and financial acumen
- Advanced negotiation and high-level strategic planning skills
- A strong understanding of customer experience and customer focus principles
- Experience in working effectively within a matrix style organisation, with outstanding cross functional stakeholder management, working across organisational structures.
- Ability to proactively take ownership and act with integrity to deliver results.
- Valid C-class Driver’s License and flexibility as regular travel is required.
