Job Description
Arcadis is seeking a Project Manager to join our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). You will manage the delivery of projects to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets. You will manage all aspects of the client relationship so that delivery meets or exceeds client expectations. Initial focus of the role will be on a alternative delivery project within the GTHA.
Lead and support project leads and key project staff in areas such as:
- Delivering rail/transit projects including commuter rail, bus rapid transit and light rail
- Prepare status reports on projects to be reviewed with the Project Director and advise on any corrective action plans if not performing in accordance with Key Performance Metrics
- Continually monitors and manages costs including procurements, labour, and other costs against the project budget. Continually reports progress as required to record the advancement of the project
- Coordinate the development of project packages including scope of work, supporting documentation and cost estimates
- Maintaining an overview of the commercial aspects of the project (contract, invoicing, debt, client management)
- Building and managing stakeholder relationships with key stakeholder groups including municipalities, provincial agencies, transit agencies, utilities etc.
- Plan and facilitate workshops, working groups, meetings and focus groups that may be delivered in person, virtual and/or using hybrid methods
- Support change management activities on projects as they arise, including but not limited to, development of change management strategies, plans and tactics
- Support operational readiness activities on projects as they arise
- Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines
- Coordinate with the project Quality / Safety Manager to ensure that proper measures are in place to assure that quality and safety objectives are being met and to ensure effective project control
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s University Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Hold a Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario
- 5-8 years progressive and demonstratable experience managing/leading rail and transit projects in a large matrix organization, interface with technical leads and stakeholder engagement
- Experience managing client relationships
- Knowledge in alternate project delivery (P3, DB), and experience in teaming arrangements with contractors and consultant
- Good interpersonal skills with demonstratable ability to work effectively as part of varied multi-discipline teams.
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hold a Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario
- PMP and/or CCMP or Prosci certifications
- Previous work within a consulting environment
- Knowledge of the transit, transportation, urban planning sector
