WHAT DO YOU BRING?

  • A completed Bachelor or Master degree in the field of Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering (or some similar qualification).
  • At least several years of relevant work experience as a project manager and/or or in a similar role in an industrial environment.
  • Strong organisational, technical, management and communication skills.
  • Fluent command of the English and Dutch languages in word and writing.
  • A proactive attitude and an eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to working safely and in respect of environmental standards within the industry.
  • You are available full-time (40h per week) during our regular office hours.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager at Remat Chemie, reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the development and realisation of projects at our site in Helmond, Brabant in the Netherlands. You will be involved in a project from A to Z. This means that the Project Manager is involved in the concept, design and preparation, but also in the organisation, planning and the execution of the projects. The role requires you to actively participate in and produce the engineering content needed to successfully implement projects. Therefore, previous (project) engineering experience is highly desirable. Besides this you will ensure that project goals are achieved safely, efficiently and within the set budget and schedule. To this end, you will work very closely with the Operations Manager, the Process Engineer and other stakeholders within the organisation.

Your duties include:

  • Safety, health and environment: You are a safety leader and ensure that all projects comply with strict safety, health and environmental regulations.
  • Quality assurance: Together with involved stakeholders, define clear project objectives and deliverables, so that all expectations are met at project handover.
  • Design: With your engineering knowledge, you will play an important role in the detailed design of projects.
  • Project planning: You will maintain an overview of projects in the pipeline, up-to-date project schedules and monitor progress against schedule.
  • Budget management: You will prepare budgets and manage project execution within agreed budgets.
  • Contractor management: You manage contractor presence and performance in line with our safety rules and the project objectives.
  • Communication: You ensure timely communication and coordination with all stakeholders. You report on progress and performance, including in monthly Management Team meetings as required.
