Job Description
Rockwell Automation University (RAU)
The RAU School of Technology is a centralized team responsible for developing technical content and delivering programs for different technical resources. These include RA domain experts, channel partners, field and delivery resources, end-users, and more. The primary responsibility for the Project Manager is to manage programs and content development projects for Rockwell Automation technologies.
Location: Katowice - hybrid
Reporting to: RAU Technical Competency Development Manager
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan large competency programs for specific launches by applying basic Instruction design principles.
- Evaluate and determine best formats for specific content areas and audiences (for example, classroom versus e-Learning).
- Plan each project including resources, timeline, milestones, and so on, using Project Management best practices and tools.
- Be the coach for Subject Matter Experts working on the content. SMEs may include borrowed resources who do not develop often. Make instructional design recommendations.
- Conduct basic initial reviews to ensure that the outputs meet the required standards.
- Track status in live dashboards or other visible tools and present status in meetings at multiple levels.
- Determine roadblocks / issues and work to remove them.
- Provide feedback to the team.
- Although content development is not a primary function, the project manager may jump in, if needed, to support the team (for example, with reviews)
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Experience in Project Management,
- Legal authorization to work in the Poland is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Proficiency in English
- Project management background (individual or group)
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 5+ years of project management,
- 2+ years of automation or related experience
- 2+ years of training design, development, or delivery experience
- Instructional design skills (identifying tasks)
- PMP certification
- Experience communicating (written and verbal) to different levels of the organization, partners.
- Experience balancing priorities, details, and moving parts.
- Experience recognizing the requirements of partners to bring value to them (a partner).
- Experience heading up meetings, delegate tasks, provide feedback/
- Experience collaborating and build trust with others involved at different levels of company
- Experience addressing issues directly, when needed, and keep projects moving.
- Experience cooperating with different work styles.
- Experience formulating actions from information provided.
- Experience making project decisions independently and stand by them.
- Technical experience with RA products and technologies – enough to work with partners and SMEs.
