Description:

Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire a Project Manager to support our federal client located in Arlington, VA. Candidates must be able to oversee and manage a staff effectively. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills are required to be successful. One must be able to work onsite based on the need of the client.
This position is contingent upon award of contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as single point of contact between the project team and Savvee and also the project team and the client
  • Managing multiple concurrent project tasks throughout each task’s lifecycle. Ensuring stakeholders are engaged and aware of progress and that the end deliverable to completed on time and error-free
  • Creating schedules for the team, both daily working schedule and project schedules while also formulating work plans to ensure even and equitable distribution of work while leveraging staff’s strengths.
  • Managing and controlling the project’s funds and resources, reporting on the status of each to the Company and client, ensuring all facets of the project are within budget, scope, and balanced
  • Ensuring the team completes all deliverables on time and error-free and conducting training as needed when issues arise
  • Leading meetings with staff and with client for project status
  • Participating and supporting weekly/bi-weekly meetings, creating various documents to present to executive-level leadership in support of the project’s mission
  • Analyzing and reviewing policies and procedures to benefit the mission and ensuring best-practices are achieved and addressing discrepancies and areas of concern
  • Providing the personnel with leadership, direction, and support to advance project goals as well as individuals’ professional goals
  • Training personnel on project-specific items to ensure each member has the knowledge they need for success on the project
  • Providing day-to-day oversight of the team to include, but not limited to; team scheduling & timekeeping, work distribution, and deliverable reviews and submissions
  • Addressing, resolving, and mentoring staff concerns and escalating as required by Savvee’s policies
  • Providing staff with timely, constructive feedback on their performance and work with them to set goals for their professional growth and development
  • Assisting in annual reviews of staff
  • Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support
