Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for coordinating large-scale exhibitions and events in an arts or higher education setting? Join our team to support innovative exhibitions and student showcases at a leading institution, providing key operational support and leadership for our exhibitions program.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational Background: Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver large-scale projects within budget and on time.
- Arts/Higher Education Experience: Proven experience managing exhibitions and events in an arts or higher education environment.
- Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking, time management, and planning abilities with a solution-oriented approach to challenges.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effective influencing and negotiation skills, adept at managing diverse stakeholder needs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with productivity and project management tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace), and an understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic maternity cover opportunity for a skilled Project Manager to lead the planning, development, and delivery of the institution’s Work in Progress (WiP) Exhibitions and Graduating Student Exhibitions & Events. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to manage budgets, timelines, and all logistical elements to ensure seamless and successful events. This role is available from March 2025 for up to a year (please note this role could end sooner if the substantive post holder returns earlier than expected).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and execute the annual exhibitions schedule, including internal and external events.
- Establish and maintain critical documentation, such as project timelines and risk registers, alerting team members if a gateway is likely to be missed and what impact this will have on interdependencies.
- Engage with various departments and stakeholders to coordinate resources, meet project milestones, and uphold high standards of delivery.
- Act as a focal point for liaison with central functions and Schools by providing direction and support alongside disseminating information effectively across college through project updates and presentations at committees.
- Ensure resources are allocated effectively, balancing competing priorities and ensuring project goals are met.
