Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management support and leadership in planning, implementing and monitoring the IGNIT3 project at SickKids and in partner countries.
  • Collaborates with other Project Managers, Finance Manager, Technical Team, MEL Manager, and other project staff and in-country partners to develop comprehensive workplans and budgets, complete required reporting, and support monitoring and evaluation plans and trainings.
  • Leverage experience and expertise in global health and capacity building act as a thought leader and resource for the technical team and contribute to the development of quality assurance and risk management strategies and tools.
  • Support development and consolidation of project budgets, track expenses, input and report expense claims to ensure that all deliverables are achieved on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee and coordinate procurement of services and goods for project activities in alignment with project budgets and financial reporting and procurement guidelines.
  • Organize, lead and facilitate events, workshops and project and sub-committee meetings with staff and partners, both locally and internationally, to support project planning and implementation, communications, knowledge translation and dissemination and appropriate governance.
  • Manage the writing, developing and consolidation of annual narrative and financial reports ensuring compliance with Global Affairs Canada reporting requirements. Report on project progress to internal and external groups through the coordination and development of narrative and technical reports, briefing notes and presentations.
  • Create, update and disseminate project newsletters, social media posts, website updates and other communications materials.
  • Support project administration, including maintaining project databases for contacts, timesheets, etc., assisting team in editing, and providing quality control for education and project materials, and supporting additional project administration such as travel logistics as required
  • Support the implementation of IGNIT3¿s MEL Plan and integration of IGNIT3¿s Gender and Human Rights Analysis and Environmental Management Plan Use monitoring results to facilitate action-learning and continuous quality improvement across the project with all partners
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external staff, partners and government officials and represent the project. Represent the hospital in Canada and in partner-countries.
