Description:

The Project Manager, working with the Deputy Project Director and the Project Director, will be responsible for:

  • Manage and ensure the direction of a complex project in agreement with the Deputy Project Director and the Project Director focusing on particular portions or phases of the scope of work mainly related to the local content.
  • Manage and ensure contractual commitments and financial and operative objectives are met for an assigned project, coordinating with Head of Contract and Project Management, Business Function, Chief Operating Officer and Regional Project Director.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with the Customer Project Manager, being ready to take ownership of some initiatives in case of escalation.
  • Ensure that the appropriate control steps are in place to guarantee Company’s coverage and mitigation of Portfolio risks.
  • Sponsor the Company towards the Customer.
  • The a.m. duties are not exhaustive and the job holder may be asked by management to undertake reasonable duties associated with this function.

Min. Qualifications:

  • Honors Degree Technical Engineering Subject
  • (best if) Approved Project Management qualification (IPMA, PMPO, PRINCE or similar)
  • Availability to travel intensively with potential chances of relocations outside home country.
  • Fluent in English and German

Min. Experience:

  • Significant experience as a Project Manager (complex projects 4-6 y. experience / recurring projects 6-8 y. experience).
  • Delivered on a number of industry related projects across a range of sectors and customers.
  • Proven track record in successfully executing multidisciplined projects.
  • Significant time spent in the negotiation and control of external service suppliers and contractors.
  • Proven management experience of successfully managing multi-disciplined and multi-cultural teams in a technical engineering environment.
  • Delivery of projects with successful adherence to HSE targets in a highly regulated industry.
  • Consistent achievement/improvement of project financial targets
