Description:
Job Title: Project Manager – Solar Plant Installation.
Job Location: Aden, Yemen
Job Type: Full-Time.
Reports To: Manager/Senior Project Manager.
Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic is a must.
Pay: Compensation for this role will be discussed and determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and expertise in the solar energy industry.
Job Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of solar power plant installation projects from concept through to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure project success within budget and on schedule.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the solar energy or construction industry.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of solar power plant design, installation, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
- Certifications (optional):
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Solar-specific certifications (e.g., NABCEP) would be a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to visit project sites, including potential outdoor and construction environments.
- Ability to lift and perform physical tasks as necessary on site.

Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (clients, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities) to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the suitability of locations for solar plant installation.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress to ensure the project stays on track.
- Foster a collaborative team environment to ensure efficient work processes.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring that costs remain within agreed-upon parameters.
- Review and approve project expenses, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Manage procurement of materials and services for the project in accordance with budget.
- Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure that all installation work adheres to industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Conduct regular quality checks throughout the project to ensure all components are installed correctly.
- Oversee the commissioning process and ensure the solar plant is operational and meets client specifications.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks related to the project timeline, budget, safety, or quality, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address any project issues or roadblocks, ensuring minimal disruption to the timeline or budget.
- Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and internal project teams.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and potential issues.
- Lead project meetings, ensuring that all team members are aligned and well-informed.
- Post-Installation Support:
- Oversee the final handover of the completed solar plant to the client.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure post-installation support and monitoring.
- Ensure all documentation, including as-built drawings and warranties, are completed and handed over.
