Description:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Project Management Specialist for a 12-month engagement in Richmond, BC
PROJECT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST MANDATORY SKILLS
- 10+ years of project management experience managing multiple large technology infrastructure projects that span one or multiple business units, including agile scrum teams
- Extensive understanding of agile, hybrid, and waterfall project and program management principles, methods, and techniques
- Technical skills including an understanding of the MS Azure costing model is an asset.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure is an asset. and experience with large scale IT migrations is an asse
- Experience working with procurement processes and managing external vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage all aspects of one or multiple infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives across various business units.
- Leadership: Provide leadership to the project team by building, coaching, and motivating team members to meet project goals and milestones.
- Project Lifecycle Ownership: Own the full project lifecycle from initiation to deployment for one or more major initiatives simultaneously.
- Comprehensive Project Management: Develop and manage all project aspects, comprising planning, vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, issues, and day-to-day activities, including:
- Setting and continually managing project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
- Preparing estimates and detailed project plans for all phases.
- Managing project scope and changes.
- Procuring adequate resources to achieve project objectives within planned timeframes.
- Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including project teams, sponsors, senior executive management, and key stakeholders.
- Reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities.
- Managing ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.
- Defining Statements of Work and Specifications for requested goods and services.
- Monitoring, tracking, and controlling outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
- Defining success criteria and disseminating them to involved parties throughout the project and program lifecycle.
- Participating in feasibility studies, vendor selections, and proposals for evaluation by appropriate stakeholders.
