Description:

We are seeking an experienced AI Project Manager (available immediately or with less than 1 month notice period) to oversee the successful execution of AI-related projects and initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The AI Project Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing AI development projects within the university. This position involves working closely with researchers, faculty, and industry partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in AI technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed business cases, project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for AI projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all AI projects adhere to the university’s quality standards and ethical guidelines, particularly regarding data security and privacy.
  • Grant and Funding Coordination: Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and reports related to AI projects, ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements.
