EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to operate independently and drive projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Exceptional written and spoken English;
  • Advanced project management qualification (PMP / PMI / Prince2 / Equivalent);
  • 2+ years experience managing technology enabled change projects from initiation to benefit realisation;
  • Experience deploying new applications to end users
  • Experience of working across a matrix organizaiton, with involvement of various Team Leads, technical resource as well as working with external vendors;
  • Experience driving successful project completion across mulitple countires, time zones and cultures;

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Our Digital Transformation is gaining pace, leveraging technology and business improvement approaches to drive innovation, improve service quality and reduce costs across our 83 locations and 8,000+ staff.
  • Our Digital Operations teams partner with Business Leaders and Functional Experts to select, deploy, improve and embed technology solutions which makes life better for our clients and staff alike.
  • We are looking for an experienced project manager, with a strong ability to connect technology and business teams, to join our Digital Project Management Team. You will join a global team of 150+ professionals, located across the globe to drive our transformation agenda.
  • Within the role the successful applicant will work across a range of different projects which could include application deployment, infrastructure changes, M&A and other such work.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Business Leaders to scope projects which solve business problems;
  • Partner with the business to ensure business problems are clearly documented and understood;
  • Apply professional experiences and TMF best practise to shape a project approach which will deliver desired outcomes;
  • Work with domain experts to select appropriate technologies;
  • Design effective governance and reporting structures which fit the size & complexity of projects;
  • Build robust business cases which articulate the purpose, cost and benefit of a project;
  • Manage project governance to enable effective decision making and on time / on budget delivery;
  • Build & maintain project plans to monitor progress and identify challenges;
  • Create steerco packs to update stakeholders at operational and leadership levels;
  • Own project financials (cost & benefit), providing monthly reporting on progress vs business case;
  • Manage project resourcing from Operations, Technology, Business & 3rd party suppliers;
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies;
  • Bridge between technology and business teams to enable project delivery;
  • Effectively articulate technology topics in a simple manner to business users;
  • Manage expectations within the business of how technology will impact their operations;
  • Ensure all project team members understand what is expected of them through the project;
  • Develop comprehensive transition plan into business-as-usual project closure with the business and operational excellence team;
  • Partner with Business and Operational Excellence Leaders to deliver effective change management which sees technology embedded in to daily operations;
  • Shape a change management strategy in partnership with the operational excellence team;
  • Ensure change management plans are aligned to technical milestones;
  • Work with the operational excellence team to deliver and implement the change management strategy and bring end users on the journey across the business
