Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating diplomacy, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving with a proven ability to work independently. This role will provide high-level administrative support and project coordination while ensuring seamless organization of complex travel schedules and interactions for Professor Sir Peter Bruce FRS for energy storage activities based in the Rex Richards building, Department of Materials.

The Department is one of nine within the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division, and one of world’s leading materials teaching and research institutions. You’ll become a key team member, working as part of a motivated Professional Services Team with the opportunity to build your skills and career within the Department and Division. This is a varied role, where you will be responsible for all of the administrative and financial activities in support of Professor Sir Peter Bruce’s FRS research in energy storage, including those of his large research group in the Centre for Energy Storage Research.
This is inclusive but not limited to providing comprehensive executive support, managing day-to-day administrative tasks and acting as the first point of contact for Professor Sir Peter Bruce, assisting in the planning, coordination and execution of various projects, alongside monitoring project finances and progress.
