Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Trailer Bridge is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee and manage international logistics projects from start to finish. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, and a proven track record of managing complex logistics projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at managing multiple priorities effectively. The role will involve 35% international travel to various project locations and partner sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics project management or a similar role, preferably within government contracts or logistics-related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, transportation management, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 35% internationally for project-related activities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of task order proposals, from initial request to final submission, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure efficient execution of logistics operations.
- Develop and manage project timelines, schedules, and budgets, while identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and oversight to ensure project success.
- Analyze project performance and prepare regular reports for senior management, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical issues or delays to maintain project flow.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to logistics and transportation.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
