Te Kauniera o Wakatū | Nelson City Council, is on a journey to transform into a more flexible and adaptive organisation to better meet the needs of our community. To support making this vision a reality, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented project manager to join our newly formed Transformation team on a fixed term basis.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 18-month position managing projects as part of a multi-year transformation programme.

Responsibilities:
As Project Manager Transformation, you will oversee critical organisational change projects aimed at enhancing Council operations and services. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of transformation projects, ensuring alignment with Council’s strategic goals
- Managing project teams, stakeholders, and resources effectively to achieve project objectives
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Utilising project management methodologies to monitor and report on project progress and outcomes
- Identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures to ensure successful project delivery
