ABOUT YOU

• Previous Project Management experience in delivering multi-million dollar projects, preferably in the Transmission or Powerline Industry or another similar utility industry.
• A Trade or Engineering qualification (Electrical or similar) and/or a Diploma in Project Management is required.

The Project Manager role is crucial in delivering large Transmission Projects in Downer’s Power Projects Division. Be the leader of multi-million-dollar projects and forge crucial relationships directly with our clients. Utilise your technical, commercial, financial, and people management expertise to guide our high-performing team in delivering a high-quality product and contributing to building essential infrastructure for the Australian economy.
Located in our North Ryde Office , you will report to the Project Director and work closely with a team of construction managers, project engineers, crew leaders, and technical and support staff to deliver critical HV Transmission Power Projects efficiently.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership & direction to achieve project objectives (includes standards and procedures and provide advice regarding technical issues)
• Responsible for implementing and contributing to developing project delivery plans to manage and control projects.
• Manage projects in accordance with the Downer Project Management Delivery model.
• Lead a team of high performing professionals with a strong focus on culture, development, support and Zero-Harm culture proactively and visibly
• Support the estimating team to ensure robust tender inputs and provide support through Downer Governance reviews to ensure best practice estimating.
