  • Ability to understand complex engineering concepts, make informed decisions, and effectively communicate project goals, expectations, and updates to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

This role can be based at West Burton, Nottinghamshire or Culham, Oxfordhsire
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

THE ROLE

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference on a global scale? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy as Project Manager in the field of fusion energy. In this role you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Build Environment project. Characterising and preparing the site for major construction and the submission of the DCO. This role involves guiding the supporting the Senior team and the Assistant Project Manager, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision, and managing high-level stakeholder relationships.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with STEP objectives and timelines.
  • Ensure the preparation and maintenance of project documentation and records.
  • Ensure all aspects of the NEC4 contracts are administered in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations by all parties involved.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contract-related documentation, communications, and transactions.
  • Ensuring excellent HSE performance on all projects.
  • Resolving obstacles to project delivery and leading the identification and employment of creative solutions to overcoming them
  • Reporting of progress against milestones, changes, exceptions, budgets and other key performance indicators.
  • Effective project risk and change management.
