The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead our Capital Works Delivery Team in London. In this critical role, you will manage our team of contract managers to ensure the seamless delivery of our intelligent traffic solutions, including traffic signals, associated civil engineering works, and EV charging stations. Your goal will be to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, measured by contract KPIs and SLIs, safely and to budget. This customer-facing position involves managing multiple capital expenditure projects within an agreed framework.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified civil engineer, quantity surveyor, or equivalent, with substantial experience in highways contract management (operational and commercial) in London.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams and manage client relationships within framework contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Oversee and ensure the efficient and budget-compliant execution of London-based capital works contracts. Full P&L responsibility.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with key staff in TfL (Transport for London) and the STIC (Surface Transport Infrastructure Construction) framework.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and develop both site and office staff, fostering a productive and motivated workforce.
  • Collaboration: Partner with contractors and supply chain entities to deliver the highest quality and safest service.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Project Oversight: Manage project timelines, revenue forecasts, and promptly address any emerging issues.
  • Growth Support: Contribute to bids and tenders, promoting continuous improvement on London-based contracts.
