TE WHIWHINGA MAHI - THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking 2x Project managers to manage projects and deliver Auckland Transport (AT) projects which are safe, customer centric and value for money.
The role includes detail design management, stakeholder management, procurement, contract management and construction management.

The role will be provided oversight and guidance by a Senior Project Manager or Principal Project Manager, and will work as part of a project team, with supervision, for more complex projects.

  • Establishing and managing project teams (both from within AT and external) for typical projects to enable the successful delivery of AT business objectives and optimise time, cost and quality project performance outcomes.
  • Leading and monitoring project teams in applying the project management principles, processes, procedures and reporting requirements outlined in the AT Project Management Framework and providing expert advice on legislation, regulations, guidelines and standards.
  • Ensuring project strategies, plans and activities incorporate the safety philosophy of ‘Vision Zero” and overall organisational and workplace safety.
  • Leading input into internal and external reporting and requirements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in relation to all required reporting.
  • Leading complex tender processes, implementing procurement strategies and effective governance arrangements to monitor provider, supplier and contractor performance.
  • Communicating effectively with key project stakeholders to build trust and persuade and influence project outcomes, including presenting at public meetings
