KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Applications and tools (Office systems, MS Teams, PPM Tools (ideally Planview Adaptive Work), JIRA, Confluence
  • Portfolio prioritisation, project pipelines/backlog processes
  • Corporate language and communication
  • Business operating models, metrics (OKRs, KPIs etc)
  • Change delivery methods (MSP, Prince2, SDLC, Scrum, SAFe)
  • Programme, Project and Portfolio (P3M) and PMO theories and practice, including maturity models
  • Typical financial processes (budgeting, forecasting, actuals, alignment with Financial cycles)
  • Service Management (e.g. ITIL)

Responsibilities:

  • Support, coach and educate the stakeholders / delivery teams in the consistent application of a business case frameworks, processes, procedures and tools (Value Realisation Framework).
  • Support the preparation of rationale and robust justification to determine whether investment in a project or programme is (and remains) aligned to Beazley’s strategic goals and change appetite.
  • Facilitate the review and challenge of business cases and delivery plans, providing feedback through relevant governance forums (e.g. Change Portfolio Group & Change Committee)
  • Creates materials for Change Governance forums (Change Portfolio Group & Change Committee), circulates in advance, driving forward relevant actions
  • Documents Change Governance Process, maintains Terms of Reference
  • Highlights learnings to feed into the improvement of the Change Governance model and related frameworks (VRF, CMF etc)
  • Supports Portfolio level budgeting and cost control in context of the Change Funding Model
  • Facilitates the end phase stage gate review as key part of Change Management Framework (e.g. Demand, Investigate, Manage, Transfer, Realise)
  • Increase visibility of the Change Portfolio within Beazley, input into various communications and updates.
  • Drive the development of the annual and quarterly portfolio planning capability, supporting stakeholders to identify their change demand and create the pipeline
  • Considers synergies and common needs across the portfolio (e.g. SME capacity/resourcing, Dependencies, support from other change services e.g. Procurement etc)
  • Drives the development of the Capacity Management capability, supporting stakeholders to consider their capacity for change, highlighting conflicts between change and business-as-usual, and maintaining view of supply vs. demand in PPM tool.
  • Supports the capture (and changes to) internal SME resources within the portfolio assessing the impact and facilitating pragmatic solutions.
  • Supports onboarding of teams onto PPM tool (Planview), advocates use as source of truth for change.
