The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.
The Biophysics lab in SPMS is seeking self-motivated and passionate Project Officer (PO) with a strong background in Chemistry or Biology to work on nucleic acid structure and therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform chemical syntheses
  • Engage and collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and external collaborators for drug discovery and development
  • Maintenance of equipment and consumables to ensure regular experimentation
  • Provide support in grant administration/management and procurement matters

Job Requirements:

  • At least BSc degree in Chemistry, Biology or related disciplines
  • Research experience in the related areas
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Attention to detail and be meticulous
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to complete experiments on schedule
