Description:

Applications are invited for the position of Project Officer, Global Customized Training & Consulting in the Global Customized Training and Consulting Division, located at the Niagara Corporate Business Centre - NCBC. The starting hourly rate is $31.05 (Pay Band F - $31.05/hr to $35.99/hr) for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
Reporting to the Manager, Global Customized Training & Consulting, the successful candidate will assist in supporting projects that provide exceptional educational experiences through global customized training contracts. This role involves supporting the acquisition and management of international contracts, including institutional partnerships, global capacity-building projects, technical assistance projects, and overseas program delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-year diploma or degree in arts, science, business, or education, ideally with coursework in international studies, international development, science, political or social sciences, environmental studies, or similar field of study.
  • Significant experience in research and report writing.
  • Proven ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural team environment.
  • Significant experience in consulting or training activities/global development practices in tertiary education institutions.
  • Knowledge of international protocols followed by tertiary education institutions.
  • Experience working with diverse clients in a multicultural setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook), Zoom, Salesforce, and knowledge of cloud software (Oracle, Canva, SharePoint).
  • Strong organizational, project management, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities in a changing environment.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable with experience handling confidential information

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers in writing proposals for Canadian and international agencies and institutions.
  • Help enhance the International’s information management system for project management, proposal writing, and training resources.
  • Prepare technical, narrative, and financial reports for internal and external audiences, including clients and funders.
  • Coordinate with outsourced vendors and clients to meet project deadlines.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support and expertise, and support Project Managers in monitoring administrative program deadlines.
  • Assist with logistics for incoming students and coordinate with other college departments.
  • Coordinate visiting delegations, follow appropriate protocols, and liaise with host-country experts to determine and comply with legal requirements.
  • Develop communication tools such as web copy, social media content, reports, presentations, case studies, and marketing materials.
  • Manage database entry and maintenance.
  • Support financial reporting processes, including timesheet reporting, financial reconciliation, budget preparation, and monitoring.
  • Works with the Global Customized Training & Consulting team in supporting financial reporting processes, including timesheet reporting, and reconciliation, gathering data for budget preparation, and monitoring.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
