Description:

  • Temporary full-time role up until June 2026 with possibility of extension
  • Role based in Northern Rivers with flexible work arrangement options available
  • Clerk Grade 7/8 ($110,266– $122,058) plus super and annual leave loading

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for team members who can support the delivery of community focused projects and who develop strong relationships with those they work with.

  • Track record of working collaboratively to provide business, project and operational support in a community focused environment
  • Ability to be flexible, show initiative and respond quickly when situations change.
  • Someone who is able to use facts, multiple data sources, knowledge and experience to put forward recommendations and work collaboratively with stakeholders to meet agency objectives, program compliance and project deliverables.
  • Ability to identify project interdependencies and strategic alignment across divisional programs.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge and experience in project management, governance, administration, communications or engagement.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for a range of project management and governance support activities that contribute to the delivery of the Northern Rivers Adaptation Division projects, with a key focus on the Northern Rivers Disaster Readiness Program (NRDRP).

As the Project Officer, you will:

  • Prepare reports and briefs, coordinate resources, maintain project documentation and implement and monitor project plans.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations.
  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on divisional activities and project progress
  • Undertake research and analysis
