Health Infrastructure Queensland in partnership with Hospital and Health Services (HHS), is leading the biggest hospital expansion program Queensland has ever seen. This includes delivering the end-to-end capital infrastructure process, including planning, business cases, construction, and capital maintenance programs for the building of three new hospitals, expanding 11, upgrading rural and regional health facilities and delivering thousands of new hospital beds over the next five years.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Officer within HIQ, you will have to opportunity to work in one of our wide ranges of project teams who each have their own role in the delivery of health infrastructure projects. HIQ teams include:

  • Operations: The Operations team provides customer-focused program-wide support services in the areas of governance, risk, procurement, contract management, program performance reporting and financial management.
  • Infrastructure Planning and Delivery: The Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Teams play a crucial role in orchestrating the seamless execution of small and large-scale projects across Queensland. This team collaborates with the Hospital and Health Services, to ensure every aspect of the projects are delivered in accordance with time, cost, quality and scope.
  • Program: The Program team leads program level initiatives across Transaction Management, Design Innovation & Assurance, Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment, Operational Commissioning, Critical Infrastructure, ICT and Car Parking.The Program team works in partnership with project teams, industry and across Government to support quality health facility infrastructure outcomes that enable healthcare services to be delivered across Queensland.

You will be responsible for providing critical advice and administrative support to program and senior management across the planning and delivery of health infrastructure. You will assist the Senior Directors in managing reporting, correspondence, and analysis of financial information, as well as preparing submissions and briefing notes to inform program decision making. You will liaise with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective governance and compliance.
