Description:

The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.
The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine.
Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.

Responsibilities:

The Project Officer (PO) will strengthen the team of research facilitators (RFs) at FSTM. Reporting to the team leader, the PO will actively support project management for projects coordinated by FSTM (mainly EU projects). The recruited individual will focus on executing projects (post-award in research management) and will work closely with the RF team, the research project teams, and the faculty’s financial controllers.
The PO will assume cross-functional responsibilities for project execution, specifically for non-FNR projects where FSTM is the lead partner. Furthermore, the PO should actively facilitate the workflow and research processes for non-FNR projects coordinated by the FSTM, ensuring efficient project teams and knowledge transfer within the teams, and streamlining research management for post-award processes.

The tasks and responsibilities will cover:

  • Preparation of admin kick-off
  • Support for the follow-up of coordinated projects, both from the administrative and financial point of view
  • Coordination of the contractual needs for projects
  • Will coordinate and provide support to the team for project reporting:
  • Evaluating eligibility of expenses
  • Pre-filling the reporting forms from funders
  • Provide guidelines and support on deliverables drafting
  • Provide guidelines and support for efficient follow-up of projects
  • Give support to the project team on the timeline and funder requirements
