  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and co-ordinate stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to perform administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THIS ROLE

  • Part-time (0.8FTE) maximum term position up to January 2026
  • Salary range: $76,426 - $98,901 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

ABOUT THE ROLE

Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking a dedicated Project Officer for our Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer (ACEO) Program, with a strong commitment to working with First Nations communities and contributing to the program’s growth and expansion at VLA.
As the Project Officer, you will provide high-quality project and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation and continued success of the program. You will work closely with the Manager, ACEO Program to coordinate meetings, track delivery of tasks, prepare key documentation and assist with recruitment across the program.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting First Nations communities.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country, but we welcome applications from candidates outside the Melbourne metro area.
