GENERAL SUMMARY…..

The Project Planner – OPS is responsible to coordinate, plan short and long term to ensure operations runs effectively at the inventory level. Analysis of short term and long-term planning to communicate to management and team members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a warehouse/distribution center at FedEx Supply Chain or elsewhere;
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management systems;
  • Knowledge of IMI and IMS;
  • Ability to effectively promote and lead change;
  • Ability to solve problems;
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written);
  • Analytical skills and strength in problem solving;
  • Autonomy, adaptability, leadership and creativity;
  • Good computer skills, Excel proficiency (advanced), and ability to learn how different software work;
  • Ability to handle stress;

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

Pay Range: 23.00 (Min) - 28.35 (Max) Hourl

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate, balance and distribute the inventory by work area;
  • Coordinate and the plan short- and long-term needs to ensure operations run effectively at inventory level;
  • Prepare the distribution center to receive the products;
  • Create, modify, update the “cheat sheet” according to operational needs;
  • Plan the requirement for storage trailers to maximize their use;
  • Establish an operation strategy for reception and dispatch volumes (Short term and long-term planning);
  • Prepare, generate, maintain and analyze various reports, provide verbal and written information of any discrepancies to whom it may concern;
  • Communicate daily information to colleagues after the short- and long-term analysis;
  • Manage calls and requests from various departments;
  • Actively listening and responding to the needs of reception, shipping, forklift operators and of your own department;
  • Initiate improvements in the files and in the planning structure;
  • Participate in the distribution center’s improvement projects;
  • Create presentations using PowerPoint software;
  • Perform any other tasks and responsibilities entrusted by management;
  • Modify programs as needed.
