Description:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in business partnering or programme management, or 5+ years in project management within a global supply chain environment, preferably within the FMCG or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, business case processes, project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with a track record of successfully managing large-scale project portfolios
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities
  • Profound experience in portfolio and project management software and tools (e.g., Planview, Microsoft Project, Transparent Choice) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

The Project Portfolio Business Partner plays a critical role in supporting the execution of the Global Supply Chain Strategy function by partnering with business and service functions across Global Supply Chain (GSC) and beyond. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the Project Portfolios within Global Supply Chain to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals and business plans. The Project Portfolio Business Partner will contribute to the overall Project Portfolio Management (PPM), ensure effective governance, and facilitate decision-making processes to drive value creation across the supply chain. The role serves as a key interface between project teams and senior leadership, facilitating decision-making processes and ensuring that all projects adhere to the established business case processes.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead the coordination of functional and matrix project portfolios within GSC, ensuring projects are aligned with the overarching GSC Strategy
  • Collaborate with the Manager Project Portfolio to ensure projects are prioritized based on strategic impact, resource availability, and financial implications
  • Ensure the project portfolio roadmap is balanced to maximize value creation while adhering to resource constraints
  • Ensure confirmed pipeline and run portfolio roadmaps are being delivered according to plan and budget
  • Monitor project and programme performance and facilitate regular portfolio reviews, providing insights to senior leadership
  • Support the setup and mobilization of strategic programmes, ensuring their governance procedures are well-established and aligned with overall portfolio management practices
