Job Description
- Supervise all aspects of inspection disciplines and provide work direction to all inspection personnel in assigned groups or remotely located units.
- Ensure that adequately trained and certified personnel are available to handle the workload efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes and standards, staying updated on the latest developments in inspection standards, codes, practices, procedures, methods, and equipment.
- Review and evaluate quality assurance/quality control systems, as necessary, ensuring Inspection Reports and Records (both hard copies and electronic databases) are compiled and maintained.
- Conduct regular site visits to resolve inspection-related issues and assess the adequacy of services provided.
- Perform root cause analysis and assessments, recommending short-term and long-term remedies as needed.
- Provide technical support to address problems related to inspection methods and procedures, ensuring work is completed according to applicable codes and standards.
- Ensure all work is planned, scheduled, and executed professionally, and findings are reported in the required format.
- Promote safe work practices during inspections and advise others to do the same.
- Maintain confidentiality during all activities throughout the service period.
- Operate to the highest ethical standards, in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. degree in Engineering OR a two-year industrial/technical college diploma.
- 10 years of inspection experience, with a minimum of 5 years in inspection supervision in Projects/Operations.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable international codes, construction and maintenance procedures, operation inspection, and material testing procedures.
- Certified ISO 9001 auditor or equivalent, knowledge of applicable ASME, ASTM, API and other Construction International Standards and Codes
- Thorough understanding of quality system standards and methodologies
- Good knowledge of using software and computer skills (Excel, word, power point etc.
- Good communication in English.
- International, UAE or Saudi Driving License is an advantage.
