Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
As a Project Quantity Surveyor you will be expected to work with an Associate or Senior Surveyor to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.
The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase on Health, Residential, Commercial and Education projects.
As part of a small team, the work approach requires a high degree of flexibility and agility to multitask across a range of projects, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients and consultants.
THE PROJECT QUANTITY SURVEYOR WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
- Professionally Qualified – On the Statutory Register of Quantity Surveyors in Ireland and preferably Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS or SCSI.
- Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilize digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.
- 2-4 years experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of cost management services including Pre-Contract Estimating; Bill of Quantities preparation, Procurement; Contract Administration, Remeasures, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Provide support to other Surveyors on team in the delivery of services of team projects.
- Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduate Surveyors.
- Ensures projects and tasks are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Develop strong reciprocal relationships with consultants and members of the project team.
- Be an interface with AECOM clients and design team members on specific projects.
- Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs on allocated projects, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Provide full Cost Management duties to AECOM clients on allocated projects.
