ABOUT HINKLEY POINT C

The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
What you’ll be doing

As a Project Support Lead, you will have the following responsibilities,

  • Delegation of responsibilities to works Coordination Leads.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice.
  • Report to Coordination Lead on any anticipated delays in project delivery, issues with dependency deliverables/critical path delays.
  • Be accountable for the coordination of construction and control services support the MEH Alliance Programme.
  • Ensures documents are updated and compliant with latest works scope information.
  • Support prioritisation of documentation to enable construction works.
  • Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project.
  • Review and feedback on suitability of level of resource to effectively run the support function.
  • Promoting seamless team coordination on all lifting, installation, welding, painting, emergent engineering, and all other site construction services.
  • Ensure flawless execution of site construction by working closely with site construction technical team during execution phase.
  • Ensuring MEH Alliance workstream deliver services on time, budget & quality.
  • Liaise with necessary stakeholders and client counterparts as required to meet and deliver MEHA construction programme needs.

Who we’re looking for

Do you have?

  • Experienced in delivering and operating at a Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including
  • experience working within Joint Ventures is preferred
  • Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
  • Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering)
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH
  • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport
  • Ability to obtain a high-level security clearance.
