Project Technician

Project Technician are analyzing, interpreting and elaborating customer order data to be able to produce needed elements in our production units and allow delivery just in time.
The project range is widely spread, it starts with very small amounts for e.g. carports or extensions on existing objects, covers also single-family house construction and ends with large scale projects of completely in wooden construction built up districts of cities.
For each order/project, one main responsible Project Technician is nominated when elaboration starts. This colleague is primarily responsible for all technical belongings, till finalizing the drawings for our work preparator and sending the internal order to CLT Supply.
This is a replacement during maternity leave.

Main responsibilities / key tasks

• Follows the pre-defined processes for customer order elaboration
• Understands the customer needs based on drawings and/or other relevant project information
• Assesses the feasibility of customer order data and proposes potential alternatives if necessary
• Import of different CAD file formats into the hsbCAD software
• Redesign and/or conversion of 3D CAD objects according to required data standards
• Preparation of approval documents for final check by customer
• Graphical load planning
• Preparation of data and information required for invoicing
• Proposing reasonable alternatives to customers if suitable and/or necessary
• Ordering externally sourced goods (e.g. glulam, fixings, etc.)
• Maintenance of ERP system (WPS)
• Offer elaboration for specific customers

Required education

• Carpenter, CAD designer or equivalent education
• Experience in Timber construction is of advantage.
• Good communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Other languages are an advantage
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft programs (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, …)
