Description:
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
- A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience of working with vulnerable children and families
- Planning, implementing and reviewing programmes with children and/or families
- Up to date knowledge on evidenced informed thinking with regard to interventions for children and families on an individual and group level
- Experience assessing children’s and families’ needs/ Preparing comprehensive needs led reports on children and families
- Understanding of Meitheal processes and using Signs of Safety as a tool for screening and assessing risk
DO I NEED A QUALIFICATION?
Yes, to be considered for this role you will hold a recognised third level practice qualification (minimum Level 7 on the QQI) in one of the following:
- Social Care / Education / Social Work / Youth Work / Early Childhood Care and Education or related discipline (Nursing, Psychology, Early Years’ Education).

Project Worker- DSC- Initial Assessment and Family Support
Responsibilities:
WHAT’S THE ROLE AND SERVICE?
We are looking for an experienced Project Worker to join our team in Dublin South Central. The primary purpose of this role is to conduct Initial Assessments (IAs) on low – medium risk referrals received from Tusla’s social work department using the Signs of Safety approach to child protection and welfare concerns.
You will also implement programmes that respond to the needs of children and families referred to the service for family support work, working in partnership with families and other organisations, community, voluntary bodies and statutory bodies as appropriate.
