Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Officer to join us at Hythe Town Council. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about local government and making a positive impact in the community. As a Project Officer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of a variety of projects that aim to enhance services and drive improvements within the council and the community it serves.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of projects within designated areas.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and objectives are met.
  • Provide project support, including preparing reports, briefing papers, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Liaise with internal departments, external partners, and the public to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Contribute to the development and review of project plans and risk assessments.
  • Provide administrative support to the project team, ensuring that all documentation is completed in line with council policies.
  • Support the management of project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with council procedures.
  • Identify and resolve issues or obstacles that may impact project delivery.
