Description:

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Marketing VP and in concert with other team members of the marketing department, plans, produces and maintains an on-going schedule of promotions for all profit center departments in order to stimulate business growth for the organization. Supervises the ongoing marketing efforts for the off-property sales, marketing and promotional activities of the marketing staff. Ensures coordination of production, experience and visuals required for high quality and exciting guest experience.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

HS Diploma or GED required. College degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing or related field preferred; 5 or more years’ experience in corporate promotions and/or special events, direct casino experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Management or supervisory experience required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of contact management systems and Microsoft Office applications. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with Casino Marketplace and MGT preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and have the ability to multi- task.
  • Must have outstanding customer service skills with an outgoing personality, presenting an image of excitement and enthusiasm.
  • A strong sales background is desired.
  • Must always present self as well-groomed and professional.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Directly manages the Assistant Promotions Manager, Promotions Specialist and Promotions Coordinator. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans and produces all casino promotional specials and events.
  • Schedules and conducts both pre and post calls and/or meetings for casino special events and promotions.
  • Maintains schedule of events and budget specifications for each promotion.
  • Coordinates all decor requirements for each event.
  • Coordinates activities to create public awareness of scheduled promotions.
  • Determines staffing needs and work schedules necessary to implement promotions.
  • Produces written documents and rules, tracks all promotional activities with and thru the Compliance Department to ensure all promotions are properly approved.
  • Responsible for reviewing promotion and event contracts and ensuring execution as required by contract.
  • Communicates all event information to operating departments to ensure timely coordination of events.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with all departments.
  • Produces after-action reports and analysis for all promotional efforts undertaken.
  • Works closely with the advertising agency and marketing team for all necessary collateral materials.
  • Responsible for cash handling and promotional payouts and ensures proper tracking through PIOs.
  • Responsible for the enforcement of all applicable regulations, under the code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, as it pertains to this position. This includes, but is not limited to, observing and reporting suspicious activity, of either customers or employees, as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, by attending Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training, provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management and outlined in the Title 31 Minimum Internal Controls.
