Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Property Accountant in Dallas, Texas. This role involves maintaining and reviewing general ledgers for respective properties, alongside other accounting duties within the industry. You will be expected to provide efficient and accurate service in a workplace that values detail-oriented and highly organized individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Review accrual basis general ledgers for respective properties and prepare relevant journal entries.
- Calculate monthly accruals and update balance sheet backup schedules.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash receipts.
- Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations.
- Analyze monthly income statements and balance sheet account reconciliation in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly corporate credit card reconciliation.
- Calculate intercompany charge-outs and record biweekly payroll journal entries.
- Process corporate payables and provide guidance to other members of the Accounting team.
- Take on additional related responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Relevant certifications in Accounting will be a plus.
- Proficient in Account Coding and Accounting Software Systems
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
- Experience with AMSI and AppFolio software
- Strong understanding of Accounting Functions
- Skilled in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles
- Proven experience in Auditing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
