Description:

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Property Accountant in Arcadia, California. The selected individual will play an important role in managing the financial aspects of our real estate portfolio. This role involves tasks ranging from maintaining accurate financial records of property transactions to preparing financial statements for individual properties and consolidated portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive financial records
  • Prepare and deliver financial statements for individual properties and consolidated portfolios in a timely manner.
  • Review and analyze financial statements at the property and portfolio level.
  • Perform month-end closing procedures, including maintaining and reconciling ledgers.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice preparation, bill payment, and tracking of financial transactions.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for properties.
  • Coordinate with the property management team to resolve accounting-related issues.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Property Accountant role or similar position.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as AppFolio and Yardi.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Familiarity with accrual accounting and GAAP accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling month-end close procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Exceptional numerical proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
