Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO ON A DAILY BASIS:
- Analyze client needs and advise them;
- Collect underwriting information and negotiate terms with insurers;
- Present clients with offers tailored to their needs;
- Develop and maintain lasting business relationships with clients and suppliers;
- Monitor renewals and premium collection;
- Offer consulting services on ethics and regulations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SHINE IN THIS ROLE:
- DEC in property and casualty insurance or equivalent;
- A property and casualty insurance broker’s license (businesses) issued by the AMF, and/or a license from the insurance institute (PAA, FPAA) with a commitment to obtain a property and casualty insurance broker’s license for businesses
- 5 years of experience in business insurance (underwriters welcome);
- Good knowledge of civil liability insurance, professional liability insurance and directors’ and officers’ liability (an asset);
- Bilingualism required (French and English);
- Knowledge of the LDPSF, regulations and ethics (an asset);
- Proficiency in office tools (MS Office suite) and the Applied System (TAM) application (an asset);
- Excellent customer service, negotiation and persuasion skills;
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and achieve results.
