As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Property Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our property portfolio.

IDEAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role, preferably within property management.
  • Strong understanding of rent collection and financial reporting.
  • Experience handling utilities, council tax, and business rates is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Property Finance Manager will be responsible for managing rental income, ensuring timely rent collection, overseeing financial reporting, and handling utilities and council/business rates. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to liaise effectively with tenants and internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Rent Collection & Arrears Management:
  • Ensure timely rent collection across all properties.
  • Chase outstanding rent payments and manage arrears effectively.
  • Liaise with tenants regarding payment plans and financial queries.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain monthly income and expenditure reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for the property portfolio.
  • Utilities & Business Rates Management:
  • Oversee the administration and payment of utilities, council tax, and business rates.
  • Liaise with local authorities and utility providers to ensure accurate billing.
  • Monitor and optimise costs where possible.
  • General Financial Administration:
  • Work closely with the property management team to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to the properties.
  • Assist with tenant deposit management and end-of-tenancy financial settlements.
